Crown molding can be used to add style to any room.  The question is however, what kind of crown molding to use – size and shape can vary greatly.  This video will give you a few basic guidlines to make the right choice.

Thanks for posting this Scott, this a great help for all DIYers out there.
Yeah, it would be great to combine different mouldings for a more varied and dramatic look. But sometimes it’s easy to mess this up; just make sure that the moldings will complement the visual direction of the whole room .

Hi Tim,

I like the combination of the base and crown etc. That is very neat. I have seen lot of that done in Georgia. Florida where I live, does not have this very often.
