Have you ever been frustrated by a stuck drawer? You know, you go to clean the clutter so that it doesn’t get out of control and the drawer will just not open. You pull and you pull, but regardless of how hard you try the drawer will just not open and even once it does open begin to open, you really have to struggle.
Although a stuck drawer is really annoying to the point that it can put a damper on the clutter level in your home, let alone your mood it can be easily fixed. It just takes a bit of patience and some trial and error.
I recently had a stuck dresser drawer that was getting progressively worse and was really annoying. Every time I went to use the drawer I would realize just how annoying it was. Being I have a bad habit of tossing clothes on a chair, every time I went to clear the clothes clutter this drawer would drive me crazy. Until I took the time and decided that I was going to fix the problem.
It was late one night and right before I went to bed I went to clear my chair and once again this drawer got me really frustrated. In fact, I became so bothered that even though it was approaching one in the morning I decided to fix the drawer right then and there.
Actually it’s really not that difficult, most sticky drawers can be repaired with a few simple things that you probably already have around the house. As I said it’s just a matter of taking the time.
Would you like to eliminate the frustration and un-stick the sticky drawers around your house?
Here is what you need to do.
1. Swap drawers – the easiest thing and the one that most often will fix the problem is simply pulling out a few of the drawers and exchanging their positions.
2. Obstructions - very often the thing that can be holding a drawer back is the contents itself. Check to make sure that the drawer is not over loaded and that nothing is sticking up higher than the top of the drawer causing it not to open.
3. Beeswax, bar soap or paraffin - gently rub any one of these against the runners of the drawer. The drawer runner is the part of the drawer that slides along the frame as the drawer is being opened or closed. Use lubricating oil that has been dipped on a rag if your drawer is made from metal.
4. Sandpaper - if your drawer is really stuck as in situations of high humidity and wooden drawers, you can use light sandpaper if one of the drawers is still binding.
Stuck drawers are really not a big problem in the grand scheme of life, but they can be so annoying. And fixing them is really no big deal, it’s just a matter of breaking through procrastination and some patience. So take a moment to repair stuck drawers and other small annoyances around your home because every time that you use them you’ll be glad that you did.

I love these suggestions. It’s the little frustrations that drive us mad, not the big ones, because they’re so continuous. Practical advice on how to deal them is invaluable.
Sometimes its hard getting those little things done. It usually only takes a couple of minutes to get rid of the annoying problem. Thanks for the tips.
